Routine antenatal follow-up
Monitoring maternal and fetal health (blood pressure, weight gain, fetal growth, screening for gestational diabetes, anemia, etc.). Ultrasounds (anatomy scan, growth scans) at appropriate intervals.
Management of high-risk pregnancies
Identifying and managing pregnancies with risk: e.g. twin pregnancies, preeclampsia, placenta previa, gestational diabetes, previous obstetric complications, etc.
Labour and delivery planning
Working with the patient to plan for delivery—vaginal or caesarean, depending on obstetric indications, patient preference, safety. Pain relief options, birthing plan, postpartum care.
Postnatal care
Support after delivery: physical recovery, wound / caesarean site care, lactation / breastfeeding support, screening for postpartum depression, family planning, ensuring maternal nutrition and rest.
